15 individuals have died in an accident that occurred on the Omen bridge alongside the Ijebu-Ode/Ibadan freeway.
The Public Relations Officer of the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, Babatunde Akinbiyi, confirmed this on Tuesday.
Also, in response to him, 38 others have been injured within the accident, whereas 12 others have been unharmed.
Akinbiyi defined that the accident concerned just one automobile – a Mitsubishi Canter, marked XE-331-MKA with 65 occupants.
He stated the automobile fell right into a ditch because of over-speeding and recklessness, whereas the motive force was attempting to keep away from an oncoming automobile.
“The dead bodies were recovered from the ditch, where the vehicle crashed and later to Sabo following the request of the Hausa community, while the injured victims have been taken to the General Hospital in Ijebu-Ode,” Akinbiyi stated.
