Banditry: Zamfara Govt Orders Closure Of 10 Schools

The Zamfara State authorities has ordered the fast closure of some Boarding and Day Schools within the state.

Mr Ibrahim Abdullahi, who’s the Commissioner for Education, made the announcement whereas briefing reporters in Gusau, the state capital.

He defined that the affected faculties have been people who share borders with Katsina, Kaduna, and Sokoto States.

The commissioner famous that the three states have been liable to banditry, saying that the choice was vital to forestall any type of assault on the colleges.

He added that the motion was crucial contemplating the safety scenario within the nation and to forestall what occurred on the Government Science Secondary School in Kankara, Katsina State.

Abdullahi assured dad and mom and guardians that the protection of the scholars was paramount to the state authorities.

He revealed that the federal government has concluded plans to deploy safety operatives to the remaining faculties that weren’t closed.

The affected instructional services comprise seven boarding faculties and day faculties.

Boarding faculties listed embody G.S.S. in Tsafe, G.S.S. in Magaji, G.A.S.S. in Zurmi, G.G.S.S. in Moriki, Science Secondary School in Shinkafi, Science Secondary School in Dansadau, and Science Secondary School in Bukkuyum.

The affected day faculties are G.D.S.S. in Nasarawa Mailayi, G.D.S.S in Gusami, and G.D.S.S. in Gurbin Bore.
