BREAKING: Kano Assembly Suspends Five Members


The Kano State Home of Meeting on Monday suspended 5 lawmakers for insubordination, and bridge of the principles and rules of the Home throughout final Monday’s rowdy session on the flooring of the Meeting previous to the removing of Muhammadu Sanusi II.

At a preliminary session, Speaker of the Home Abdulaziz Gafasa who introduced the suspension following a degree of order offered by one of many members, mentioned the lawmakers are to stay suspended for six months.

The suspended lawmakers embrace Muhammad Bello representing Rimin Gado, Labaran Madari of Warawa, Garba Gwarmai of Kunchi/Tsanyawa, Maje Ahmed of Kano municipal and Isyaku Ali of Gezawa.

Responding to the suspension, one of many affected lawmakers, Muhammad Bello instructed Channels Tv that their suspension didn’t comply with due course of and that it violates order eight which empowers committee on ethics and privileges to analyze any violation of Home guidelines.

“Even if there is a violation of rules the committee should take care of it but none of these was put into considerations, we will, therefore, discuss among ourselves and see what we can come up with,” Mr Bello said.
