Buhari Orders Payment Of Salaries For All Lecturers Not Enrolled In IPPIS

 

President Muhammadu Buhari has authorised rapid funds of salaries owed some lecturers who aren’t enrolled within the Built-in Payroll and Personnel Data System (IPPIS). 

Following the refusal to enrol within the IPPIS, some lecturers’ salaries have been withheld, nevertheless, President Buhari in Abuja on Tuesday, requested that the arrears owed these lecturers be paid.

President Buhari gave the approval order after a gathering with the Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige yesterday in Abuja.

This was confirmed on Wednesday by the Chairman of the Presidential Activity Pressure on COVID-19, Mr Boss Mustapha.

Mr Mustapha who can also be the Secretary to the Authorities of the Federation famous that the approval is in keeping with measures to see that nobody is left at an obstacle throughout this making an attempt time.

Previous to the President’s intervention, the Federal Authorities and the management of the Tutorial Workers Union of Universities (ASUU), have been at eachother’s necks over the refusal of the college lecturers to hitch within the IPPIS cost platform.
