CAF Confed. Cup: Enyimba, Rivers United To Face North African Foes

Two-time African champions, Enyimba and their Nigerian counterpart, Rivers United have been drawn in opposition to Al Ittihad of Libya and Egyptian aspect Al Masry respectively within the play-off of the CAF Confederations Cup.

“We’ve been paired against Libyan side Al Ittihad for the playoff round of the #CAFCC,” Enyimba stated in an announcement on its official Facebook web page.

“The 1st leg will be played at the home of the Libyan side, while we’ll host the return fixture on the 1st weekend in December.”

Enyimba reached the play-off after beating Senegalese crew Dimbars 4-0 on combination whereas Rivers United dropped to Africa’s second-tier competitors following their elimination from the CAF Champions League. The Pride of Rivers misplaced 2-1 on combination to Al-Hilal of Sudan.

The first-leg video games will happen on November 28 and the second leg is scheduled for December 5. Winners will advance to the group stage of the match.
