Comedian AY Apologises Over Tweet Regarding Funke Akindele’s Ordeal

 

Nigerian comic Ayo Makun (popularly often known as AY) has apologised over his tweet criticising the backlash in opposition to Funke Akindele, the convicted film actress.

The comic had been the topic of criticisms since his Monday submit.
“Twitterians abeg na! Since yesterday my chest has been paining me with no urge for food four meals.

The insults are an excessive amount of. Are you able to all simply scale back my sentence to becoming a member of @funkeakindele for neighborhood service and self-isolation from Twitter for 14 days? I’m sorry. Una pity particular person papa na.”

Ms Akindele (popularly often known as Jenifa) on Monday pleaded responsible to breaching Lagos State’s social distancing regulation after a viral video confirmed the actress internet hosting a celebration for her husband. She was sentenced to 14 days of neighborhood service.

AY had expressed displeasure on the requires the actress’s prosecution and added that she “will rise again.”
