COVID-19: 65 Persons Arrested In Lagos For Violating Lockdown Order

 

Sixty-five individuals have been arrested in Lagos State for violating the lockdown order.

In accordance with an announcement issued on Wednesday by the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bala Elkana, the suspects who have been between the ages of 16 and 45, have been arrested for holding a celebration and consuming some substances suspected to be laborious/illicit medication.

They have been stated to have been arrested at resort within the Oko Oba space of the state, following credible intelligence obtained by the police.

“Among the suspects have been discovered within the swimming pool catching enjoyable, in whole neglect of the social distancing rules and the lockdown order.

“The suspects who’re inside the vary of 16 to 45 years, confessed to have left their varied houses to the resort in defiance to the sit at residence order,” the assertion learn partly.

In accordance with the police, the supervisor of the resort was equally arrested and the resort has been sealed off by the related company of the state authorities.

“Investigation is ongoing and the suspects will be charged to court,” the assertion stated, including that the Commissioner of Police Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu (psc) urged residents to proceed to be law-abiding.
