Diesel-Laden Tanker Goes Up In Flames In Lagos

A tanker laden with about 11,000 litres of diesel on Thursday morning went up in flames on the Abule Osun Bus Station, within the Ojo barracks axis of the Badagry expressway, Lagos.

The scene of the accident is adjoining to China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) building yard .

Firefighters had been rapidly summoned to the scene they usually have been battling to comprise the blaze.

Director-General of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) Olufemi Osanyintolu advised Channels Television that preliminary investigations indicated that the accident occurred after the rear spring of the tanker broke whereas the car was travelling at excessive velocity.

No casualties have been recorded, and legislation enforcement officers are working to ease the visitors that has constructed up across the space because of the incident.
