The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has launched the timetable and schedule of actions for the governorship elections in Edo and Ondo State.
This comes moments after the electoral umpire introduced the date to conduct the elections in each states.
INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, made the announcement on Thursday at a press briefing held on the fee’s headquarters in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
According to him, INEC will conduct the ballot in Edo on September 19 whereas that of Ondo will happen on October 10, 2020.
In Edo, political events would conduct primaries between June 2 and 27 whereas the train would maintain between July 2 and July 25 in Ondo.
Similarly, public campaigns by varied events in Edo would start on June 21 in Edo and July 13 in Ondo, whereas they’re anticipated to finish two days to the elections in each states.
INEC additionally launched the timetable and schedule of actions for the by-elections in three states.
They are Magama/Rijau Federal Constituency of Niger, Kebbe State Constituency in Sokoto, and Patigi State Constituency in Kwara States.
