Insurgency: The Days Of Terrorists Are Numbered, Says Buhari


President Muhammadu Buhari has promised to repeatedly frustrate the objective of terrorists to carry Nigeria to ransom, insisting that their days are numbered.

President Buhari in an announcement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, on Monday, condemned the “murderous and cowardly attack on innocent passengers by the Boko Haram terrorists near Maiduguri.”

The insurgents attacked stranded passengers on Sunday evening at Auno, a village close to Maiduguri, the Borno state capital, killing 10 individuals and burnt no fewer than 18 vehicles, together with heavy-duty vans.

The assertion added that President Buhari is ever decided to frustrate the insurgents and his administration is not going to be derailed in defending the lives of Nigerians.

“The commitment of this administration to protect the lives of Nigerians will not be derailed by the cowardly and indiscriminate violence against innocent people by Boko Haram terrorists.”



President Buhari additionally condoled with the federal government of the state, stressing that “terrorists are clearly on a again foot and their days are numbered.

“As our armed forces proceed to obtain extra {hardware} and intelligence to counter our present safety challenges, the remnants of Boko Haram will finally be crushed.

“The peculiar challenges of uneven warfare however, our armed forces are ever decided to defeat these enemies of humanity,’’ President Buhari stated.
