Lionel Messi announced dead on Twitter in sick joke by hackers

The Telegraph had their social media channels hacked on Saturday afternoon – with soccer celebrity Lionel Messi being (wrongly) announced dead.

Messi is alive and effectively with no hurt being achieved to the Barcelona celebrity, however hearts can have skipped a beat after this tweet from the verified Telegraph Sport account was despatched out on Saturday.

While the difficulty was rapidly rectified by the Telegraph, it did quick turn out to be clear that every one of their social media channels had been compromised. Across the board, they had been screenshotted tweeting utter nonsense.
