Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has ordered the probe of contracts for the development of the Benin Specialist Hospital and provide of hospital tools.
The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Osarodion Ogie, disclosed this in an announcement forwarded to Channels Television on Thursday.
According to him, the state authorities has constituted a Commission of Inquiry to conduct an in depth investigation into the method resulting in the conceptualisation, design, development and equipping of the hospital.
The fee, Ogie famous, was additionally requested to find out if there was a breach of the Edo State Procurement Law and different extant legal guidelines and procedures.
He revealed that the fee can be chaired by Justice J.U. Oyomire (rtd), with Mr Anthony Izevbekhale to function its secretary.
The members are Professor Emmanuel Obaseiki-Ebor, Mrs Elizabeth Uwaifo, and Mr Enemaku Igemoh.
“The appointment takes immediate effect,” the SSG said.

“To verify the details and dates of construction carried out on the project and equipment supplied on the hospital project and to determine if same were in line with the contract stipulations and timelines.”
Ogie added that the fee would establish any losses and/or damages incurred or suffered by the state authorities and to additional establish all individuals liable for such losses or damages.
