Ogun PDP Faction Suspends Secretary


A faction of the Peoples Democratic Social gathering in Ogun State has suspended its secretary, Mr Semiu Sodipo, for 10 years.

The faction led by Mr Bayo Dayo, suspended Sodipo over allegations of anti-party actions and nominated Mrs Labre Balogun as his successor.

This was introduced on Thursday on the stakeholders’ assembly presided over by the factional chairman, Dayo, held on the occasion’s secretariat in Abeokuta, within the state capital.

The factional chairman mirrored on the management tussle rocking the occasion and insisted that his faction of the occasion remained the recognised one.

He accused the Nationwide Chairman of the occasion, Uche Secondus, of complicity within the management tussle within the state chapter of the occasion.

Dayo, nonetheless, revealed that the occasion’s state congress would begin on March 7 to elect officers for the PDP on the ward, native authorities, and state ranges.

In his response, Sodipo stated his suspension was unlawful and of no substance as he stays the state secretary of the PDP.
