Police Rescue Two Women Kidnapped In Katsina

The 2 ladies rescued by the police in Katsina State.



The police have rescued two ladies from suspected bandits in Kurfi Native Authorities Space (LGA) of  Katsina State.

The Police Public Relations Officer in Katsina, Gambo Isah, confirmed this in a press release on Monday.

He defined that the rescue operation was carried out following a misery name they obtained on Thursday final week.

The bandits, numbering about 10 and armed with AK 47 rifles, had been mentioned to have stormed Sabon Layi village on motorbikes and kidnapped some ladies.

“Consequently, DPO Kurfi led Operation Puff Adder and vigilante group and chased the hoodlums up to Kaguwa village where they engaged the hoodlums into a gun duel,” the assertion mentioned.

In line with Isah, the crew succeeded and rescued the duo of Huraira Murnai (60) and Hadiza Murnai (50).

He famous that the hoodlums escaped into the forest whereas the police have commenced an investigation into the assault on the village.

In the meantime, the command’s spokesman revealed group of bandits blocked a feeder highway resulting in Dankar village in Batsari LGA the place they robbed harmless villagers of their belongings on Monday.

He mentioned a crew of police operatives moved to the scene, chased, and engaged the hoodlums in a heavy gun duel.

“Because of the superior firepower of the police, the hoodlums deserted their mission and escaped into the close by forest.

“In the midst of the investigation, the crew recovered one Assault Rifle (A.R.) loaded with 14 rounds of 5.56mm reside ammunition and a motorbike Kasea, pink in color, unregistered, with Chassis No. LAELE2413KMG45286 and engine NO. 157FMI190745358 belonging to the bandits,”  the assertion added.
