Reps Hope To Pass PIGB Before July, Says Gbajabiamila

The Speaker of the Home of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has given an assurance that the Home would do all it may to move the Petroleum Business Governance Invoice (PIGB) earlier than the tip of June.

“It requires us to work with those who understand the nuances of that sector. For the oil and gas industry to develop, there has to be a symbiotic relationship. You have the knowledge and we have the capacity to make it happen.”

Gbajabiamila advised his company that the Home would use the zeal and patriotism with which it handed the Deep Offshore Sharing Settlement Regulation to move the PIGB.

He mentioned, “Now we have to place Nigeria first and that’s what we did with that invoice (Deep Offshore), and that’s what we’ll do with the PIGB.

“On the aspect of Nigeria and on the aspect of the Nationwide Meeting, that’s the place we’re going to.”

The chief of the delegation and former Minister of State for Petroleum Sources, Odein Ajumogobia, mentioned the go to was to hunt the understanding and cooperation of the speaker to move some payments that would enhance Nigeria’s economic system, one in all which was the PIGB.
