Gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram insurgents have attacked Kwarangilim village in Borno State.
The assailants have been stated to have invaded the village in Chibok Native Authorities Space of the state on Tuesday.
Based on native sources, the invaders struck within the night, saying their arrival with gunshots.
In addition they set homes ablaze whereas villagers have been pressured to flee to close by bushes because the assault lasted for hours.
Though it has but to be ascertained why the assault was carried out, Channels Tv gathered that a part of the insurgents’ mission was to loot meals objects from the village.
Additionally it is arduous to find out if there are casualties from the assault.
In the meantime, troops of the 28 Job Drive Brigade and the 117 Battalion of the Nigerian Military deployed in Chibok have since arrived in Kwarangilim to revive calm.
The village is situated about 5 kilometres to the Chibok Native Authorities headquarters.
