The Governing Council of the University of Ibadan has authorized the appointment of Professor Adebola Ekanola because the performing Vice-Chancellor of the establishment.
This was disclosed in an announcement on Monday by UI’s Director of Public Communication, Olatunji Oladejo.
The tenure of the outgoing vice-chancellor, Idowu Olayinka, ended right this moment.
According to the assertion, the appointment adopted a gathering which held right this moment on the advice of the Senate.

Channels Television realized that the council assembly was presided over by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Nde Joshua Waklek Mutka.
Ekanola was stated to have defeated 4 different candidates after polling 275 votes within the election.
Before his appointment, Prof. Ekanola served because the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Director of Office of International Programmes (OIP) and the Dean, Faculty of Arts, amongst different appointments.
