Wife Stabs Former Local Government Councillor To Death

A former Local Government Councillor has been stabbed to demise by his spouse in Nkpolu-Rumuigbo, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.

The sufferer, Honourable Skin Kinikanwo Amadi was a one-time councillor at Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the State

He was reported killed by his spouse recognized as Ihuoma Amadi on Wednesday evening in Obio/Akpor.

Eyewitnesses stated the sufferer and his spouse have been dealing with household disagreement for over a month, however that the event worsened on Wednesday evening.

A lady within the Amadi’s household, spouse of the sufferer’s brother, who spoke below situation of anonymity narrated that Ihuoma, the suspect, had known as her husband round 10:00 p.m. over the battle that had damaged out between them.

“Around past 10:00 p.m., Ihuoma called my husband that Skin is disturbing her that he (my husband) should come. It was late so my husband was a bit reluctant to leave the house.

“Around 11pm, a man rushed to our house to inform my husband that his brother is seriously bleeding and he needs help. When we got there he was already being taken to the hospital.

“When I asked the woman what happened she said the man broke a beer bottle and while they were trying to retrieve it from him the bottle touched him,” the girl defined.

The sufferer’s brother, Clinton Amadi, described the incident as stunning and likewise defined that the couple had issues for some time now.

“The whole thing came to me as a shock. I was called that my brother has been stabbed. Before I got there he was already in a comma,” Amadi stated.

The spokesman of the State Police Command, Nnamdi Omoni, confirmed the event however added that he doesn’t have particulars of the incident.
